Anderson Family Dental took a Friday off at the beginning of September to go to the Royal Gorge. First thing in the morning, we harnessed up and took the Zip-line tour, which consisted of 9 cable zip lines, the longest one being 1000 feet. The total length of the zip line tour is over one mile. We had so much fun. It was a thrilling and exhilarating 3-hour adventure that zipped across the Royal Gorge plateau with views of the 14-thousand foot peaks of the Sangre De Christo mountain range. We hiked between each zip line. We reached speeds of up to 45 mph on some of the longer zip lines. After zip-lining, we went back to the camp and had a great lunch at the bar and grill before suiting up again to go on a 3-hour river rafting adventure. Amazing scenery of the Royal Gorge and the sheer towering 1200' cliff walls surrounded us as we rafted below the world's highest suspension bridge. Rapids of Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer and the Narrows to name a few, were class IV, and V rapids. We paddled hard, and held on, and brought back all 10 of our staff members!! It was a great day and we're already planning our next trip.
