Anderson Family Dental took a Friday off at the beginning of September to go to the Royal Gorge. First thing in the morning, we harnessed up and took the Zip-line tour, which consisted of 9 cable zip lines, the longest one being 1000 feet. The total length of the zip line tour is over one mile. In 2009, this father and son team merged their practices to form Anderson Family Dental. Dr. Richard L. Anderson, DDS, PC
Dr. Richard Anderson has been treating patients in Colorado Springs since 1966. Born and raised in the town of Grove in western Kansas, Richard graduated with a BS from Fort Hays State University where he played basketball and baseball. He later received his DDS from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry.After graduation, Dr. Anderson and his wife, Patti, moved to Colorado Springs on account of the great outdoor lifestyle that we have in the Pike's Peak region. He moved from his original office on West Colorado to its current location in 1975 and merged his practice with his son, Dr. Erick Anderson in 2002. Dr. Anderson continues to maintain his proficiency through extensive post-graduate education in TMJ/TMD occlusion and is a Graduate of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dentistry and Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. He considers it a privilege to have cared for generations of families in the Pike's Peak region.In his free time, Dr. Anderson likes to spend time with his family, golf and reading.
Dr. Erick T. Anderson, DMD, PC
Born and raised in Colorado Springs and the son of Dr. Richard Anderson developed an interest in dentistry at an early age. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University, Dr. Anderson went on to earn his dental degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1994 and began private practice in Colorado Springs in 2002.
Dr. Anderson is passionate about dentistry and is committed to providing you with world-class dental care using state-of-the-art equipment and the latest techniques. He has devoted himself to learning from the best minds in dentistry and stays on the leading edge of dentistry by taking extensive continuing education courses on a variety of dental topics, including implants, smile design and aesthetics. He recently completed training at the prestigious Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida, where he learned advanced techniques to treat TMJ and occlusal problems.
When he’s not working, Dr. Anderson loves spending time with his family in the Colorado outdoors. He is an avid bicyclist and skier and enjoys fly fishing, camping and music. Dr. Anderson believes in giving back to the community and sponsors a Little League baseball team, donates dental services to underprivileged kids, and is an active member of the Colorado Springs Rotary Club.
